It is a versatile cookware piece compatible with various heat sources, including induction, gas, electric, halogen cooktops, and ovens. Please note, it is not suitable for use in a microwave.

2.How do I clean this enameled cast iron dutch oven?

Recommended: Allow the pot to cool naturally, then wash with warm water and a soft cloth or sponge. For stubborn residues, soak in warm water first. Avoid: Do not use abrasive scrubbers like steel wool, as they can scratch the enamel glaze. It is not recommended for dishwasher use, as harsh detergents and high-temperature jets may damage the enamel's finish.

3.How should I maintain and store the dutch oven?

After washing, dry it thoroughly with a soft cloth or let it air dry completely to avoid any water residue, which could cause the iron core to rust.

4.How is the dutch oven heat conduction and retention?

Pretty but not much a cooking game changer ...

After reading many reviews and praises about Dutch pots I decided to give it a go. Did not need it much but fell in love with cute look of enamel version and wanted to check if really is so good. Arrived in open and damaged box as it was not protected with any sealing tape- just closed in the box. However pot was fine as it was double boxed.
It looks absolutely stunning and pretty on my stove. Love every bit of it but did not see any special improvements in my cooking time or heat retention as read all about it.
Took same long to cook dishes as my other pots. Steam escapes from under the lid when heat too high same as other regular pots. Also you need to keep opening to check if not cooking too high since you cannot see like with glass lids. With my glass lids I keep all the steam inside as I don't have to keep opening.
Bit heavy as you would expect but manageable (I bought 24cm)
Comes with gifts: llovely table protection, handy mittens for handling the pot ( white though so not very practical colour - needs to go to wash after every cooking ) and small cook book which I found useless and not very pot orientated.
I don't feel that this pot is much of a game changer for my cooking but for now I am enjoying pretty look at least.

Overmont 5QT Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven

5QT dutch oven arrived in 5 days; shipped well protected-THANK YOU. Oven is HEAVY! Using it for Essaci Tea only at this time. Lid & oven are a WONDERFUL, WINE color! Very pretty.!!! May be gettig a larger one to avoid 1 gallon overflows onto the stovetop.
